Garbage service Colorado Springs
Garbage, yard waste, and recycling will not be collected on:
- New Years Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If the holiday falls on a weekday (Monday - Friday), residential service will be delayed one day.
If the holiday falls on the weekend, your pickup schedule will NOT be delayed.
Example: July 4th lands on a Thursday, if your normal service day falls before the holiday your service day will not be affected. If your normal service day falls after the holiday, your service day will be delayed one day for that week only. If it is normally on Fridays, it will be picked up on Saturday.
Our regular garbage collection service begins at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday. Residents of Colorado Springs and the surrounding area should have all materials out for collection by 7 a.m. on the scheduled pickup day. If garbage is not out in time for regular collection, it can either be picked up the following week, or you may request a special pickup (for an additional fee).
In the event we cannot service an account due to safety reasons as it relates to conditions out of our control (weather, road closures, etc), we ask that customers bag additional trash and we will pick up on their next service day at no charge when conditions permit. Service credits will only be issued if customer can provide landfill or transfer station receipts.
Recycling is picked up every other week on the same day as trash, beginning at 7 a.m. Monday-Friday. If your recycling container is not out in time for collection, it can either be picked up during the following scheduled collection, or you may request a special pick-up (for an additional fee).
