Recycling in Public Spaces
People in public spaces, such as streets, parks, baseball diamonds and sports arenas, generate a significant amount of waste.
The City of St. Catharines is involved in a public space recycling pilot program to reduce the amount of garbage bound for landfill and help reach our 65 per cent waste diversion target. Recycling bins are now located throughout the downtown, including receptacles outside City Hall and Market Square.
