NYC Garbage Removal
While dumpster rentals in New York may save some money on paper, there is a physical cost to doing the labor, as well as possible time off from work to load it. Unexpected costs can result from selecting the wrong sized dumpster, filling it with refuse that is either restricted or surcharged, or you’re required to exceed the initial term of the rental. When you call us, you don’t need to worry about any of these issues.
Additionally, the dumpster itself will rest on the property for the entire term of the rental and could potentially damage the underlying asphalt or concrete beneath the dumpster if not property placed.
1-800-GOT-JUNK? offers the same service with no hassle. We can pick up the items you want gone – including construction debris – at any time. You don’t have to lift it, or load it. We often help with dumpster overflow too (if your dumpster is overflowing, we can take away the excess trash, junk or debris).
Don’t waste time and energy on renting a dumpster in NYC when you can call 1-800-GOT-JUNK?
Giving back through Second Chance Toys
1-800-GOT-JUNK? Brooklyn/Queens recently participated in a local Toy Drive for Second Chance Toys – a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping used toys out of landfills, refurbishing them, and distributing them to children in need. Our franchise handled the logistics of picking up toys from local donation centers and bringing them to Viacom (the media giant) so that volunteers at their NYC headquarters could clean and treat the toys for re-use. We then delivered the refurbished toys directly to several children’s hospitals and centers for underprivileged children in our area. This was the third year in a row that our franchise donated our services.

1-800-GOT-JUNK? sponsors NYC AIDS WALK in Central Park
1-800-GOT-JUNK? Brooklyn/Queens was a “Major Sponsor” of the 29th annual AIDS WALK in NYC’s Central Park. This was the 6th consecutive year that franchises from NYC and Long Island donated their time and resources to help clean up the park after more than 30, 000 participants completed the course. The event raised more than $3 million dollars to be shared by more than 40 organizations that offer housing, medication, and clothes to people living with AIDS and HIV. The Brooklyn-Queens franchise volunteered eight trucks and eight Truck Team Members to be on-site from pre-event prep at 7pm on Saturday thru 7pm on Sunday.
The Rise Of The Junk Removal Empire
Brian Scudamore recounts the humble beginnings of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s junk removal services. He began removing junk as a part-time gig to fund his college education. The company started off as a one-man-will-haul-junk operation. Slowly, Scudamore increased the size of his junk removal crew, expanded his trash hauling fleet, and even brought the service over to nearby Victoria. Today, he is the CEO of an international junk removal corporation that is hauling trash across three different countries.
